Stop Spending Money on Sensitive Skin Care and Start Watching Your Skin Rashes Disappear!

When you think of sensitive skin care, you probably think about all the skin care products you've seen advertised on TV or the internet. Many people who suffer with skin problems do not realize that some of these so called hypoallergenic products can actually make your skin problems worse!

The other thing you may not know is that there is quite a lot more that you can do to help your skin that costs nothing and may even save you money! In fact many people have BETTER results by using FEWER products on their skin!

The Misery and Expense of Sensitive Skin

For those of us with problem skin, we find ourselves dealing with skin rashes and facial breakout that can happen at a moments notice from even the smallest exposure to certain kinds of detergents, chemicals or skin care products.

It is quite embarrassing to try a new makeup and find your poor face has turned red as a beet! Or, you try a new natural skin care line that causes you to break out with acne! Then, you try to cover the redness with a so called hypoallergenic makeup, and it causes more skin irritation!

You run back to the store to return yet another product, and you try not to notice the sales clerk's rolled eyes when they see you coming. If the rash is really bad, you might need to go to the doctor. They will usually prescribe yet another skin cream, which may or may not help. In some cases it can actually cause MORE skin problems! You could end up spending a whole lot of time and money trying different products, and there is no guarantee that any of them will work for you.

There must be a better way!

Little Known Sensitive Skin Care Secrets

One of the best ways to help your sensitive skin is one that is not commonly used in current Western medical practices, but which is well known to traditional healing practices such as Chinese Medicine or Ayurveda. This method involves learning how to help your body stop producing rashes and skin inflammations.

This is not difficult to do, but does require an ability to develop a relationship with your body by listening and paying attention to what you feel, and to what you put in your body each day. If your body is severely out of balance, you may need the help of a qualified alternative medical practitioner.

Did you know that your skin is your body's largest organ of elimination? If your other body systems are not working well, your skin takes on more of the burden of eliminating toxins from your system by producing skin rashes.

Did you know that what you eat has a huge impact on your skin? Some people have allergies or sensitivities to certain foods which they are not aware of, and this can cause skin problems.

Did you know that there are several simple, affordable healthy daily habits that can actually help clear up sensitive skin? These are things that we ALL do, but that people with sensitive skin need to do MORE of!

Why Even Sensitive Skin Care Products Can Irritate Your Skin!

One of the biggest challenges for people with sensitive skin is that many of the skin care products that are labeled hypoallergenic skin care products actually contain ingredients which have been shown in research to cause skin irritation!

What I find most shocking about this is that the most popular brands of sensitive skin care products ALL contain ingredients that are irritating or even hazardous to health!

Even your natural and organic sensitive skin care products can cause skin rashes. Most natural skin care products contain herbs and botanical ingredients which are potent healing medicines, but which can interact with other herbs or medicines you may be taking. Herbs can also cause allergic reactions for people who tend to have hyper sensitive skin. No wonder your poor skin can't get a break!

New Hope for Safe Sensitive Skin Care

I know I am painting a rather grim picture here, but there IS hope! There are so many things that you can do for yourself to reduce your skin's level of irritation, and to educate yourself about which skincare ingredients may be causing your skin problems. Here are some tips for creating a successful sensitive skin care routine:

If you are sensitive to almost everything, then stop using skincare products for a little while until your skin clears up.

When your skin is better, choose less irritating skin care products or gentle, home skin care recipes made specifically for sensitive skin.

Choose products that have fewer ingredients, which make it less likely that one of them will bother you.

Skin test EVERY product on the inside of your arm BEFORE you use it on your face.

Choose skin care products that do not contain fragrances, colorings, perfumes, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, formaldehyde-based preservatives or mineral oil. These substances are more likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions.

Follow a gentle, whole body natural beauty program that eliminates the source of inflammation in your body.

I hope these tips help you to find new hope for your sensitive skin care challenges!
